The author and compiler of 'Meteorology .... Simply for Pilots' is a retired flying instructor and examiner with 10,000 flying hours experience on jets, turboprops, 'petrol' props and gliders - and probably a similar number of hours teaching meteorology to student pilots over the past 25 years!
During the last 3 years, he has developed and produced this PowerPoint CD based weather training course which attempts to make this complex subject far less daunting and far more user friendly than the very few and very much more expensive alternatives on the market.
His simple aim is to remove the many mysteries of how the world's weather forms and to take the drudgery out of wading through countless complex text books. 'Meteorology ... Simply for Pilots' goes a long way to achieve this and therefore encourages safer, more confident, and more enjoyable flying as a result. The course is orientated for aviators of all types, ranging from balloon, microlight and paraglider pilots to conventional fixed wing and rotary pilots. Club and School instructors may also find the training package useful as a basis for their Meteorology lessons.

There has been very positive feedback from pilots who have already purchased this CD :
One Customer wrote : "Fantastic service and product, buy this item before you waste money on books....
Another wrote on the 5th April (NHPC Forum) : "Ordered mine on 31st March and got it this morning. It is the best work I've
seen explaining the weather for a long time. You progress at your own speed and do the tests at the end to check
if it sunk in. If it didn't, back you go and do it again, or leave it for later if you want to go on. For the money this is an
excellent package and I would recommend it. Particularly liked the chapter on thunderstorms."
Barry Goulding from South Yorkshire wrote : "Just thought I would drop you a line to say how pleased I am
with your CD "Meteorology..Simply for Pilots". I have been reading Brian Cosgroves book Weather for Pilots and
although it is concise it can be very heavy reading and I sometimes have trouble absorbing what I am reading. However,
revising for my exam I was running your CD again and suddenly everything clicked into place and I now understand better
this really difficult subject. The explanations are done in a way that the less academically inclined student (like myself) can
understand and the animations and diagrams really helped me understand what is going on".
